We have worked with Alliance Landscaping since 2006 to complete several major projects at my home in Windham, NH.  The first project included a backyard pool, pool house, brick oven and patio outdoor living that began in 2006 and was completed in 2007.  The scope of this project was significant and involved major excavation, construction, masonry, and landscaping work.  The second project that was completed in 2009 included a complete reconstruction of my driveway, including cobblestone and cobblestone border, new irrigation system, and new sodding and landscaping to the front of our home.

I would highly recommend Alliance Landscaping to any homeowner contemplating a major outdoor hardscape/landscape project.  Alliance is more than a landscaping solution and can meet any homeowners’ needs for an exterior general contractor.

Our experience with Alliance Landscaping and its owner, Brandin Swisher has been exceptional.  Brandin is smart, knowledgeable, resourceful and an excellent communicator.  All of these contributed to our success and satisfaction with our projects and Alliance Landscaping.  He takes pride in Alliance’s work and he is one of the very few contractors that I have worked with that treats his customers’ projects as if they were being done at his own home.

More specifically, we were very pleased with our experience with Alliance for the following reasons:

First, from a design perspective, Alliance listened to our needs and provided very creative ideas for both of our projects.  In addition, they were flexible in evaluating different approaches to our projects and sourcing materials that were needed for the projects, such as granite, cobblestone, and plant materials, particularly specimen trees to fit our budget. 

Second, Alliance provided us detailed project plans and designs that were complete and allowed us to evaluate the projects easily and modify the plans so that we got what we wanted.  One example of Alliance’s unique approach was the use of a satellite image of our driveway and the overlay of the redesigned driveway compared to the existing driveway.  This approach allowed us to get the redesign that we wanted without the cost of an architect and expensive drawings.  However, when engineering work was required, such as for our foundations and patio roof, Alliance obtained the necessary engineering specifications without us having to hire a third party.

Third, the detailed project plans prepared by Alliance allowed them to provide us complete cost estimates and enabled them to complete the work on budget. 

Fourth, Alliance’s execution was always consistent with their proposal, as well as courteous, professional, and timely.  Their employees were polite and respectful of our property, and they cleaned up their mess everyday.

Fifth, we were always updated on the status of our projects and the upcoming schedule.  In addition, changes to the project plan were communicated quickly, including cost and timing implications.

Sixth, I travel frequently for my work and Alliance made excellent use of technology to facilitate the communication of project designs, plans, cost estimates, pictures of recommended hardscape/landscape materials, and pictures of work-in-progess.
